Refer a friend to Astute Simplicity Health and if they join, members will receive a $50 EFTPOS card. 

Offer available from November 1, 2024, to November 30, 2024. These terms and conditions apply to the Promotion which is offering existing members to ‘Refer a Friend’ and receive a $50 EFTPOS gift card for each successful referral during the promotion period up to a maximum of five successful referrals per policy.

1.    The Promotion commences at 12:00am AEDT on November 1, 2024, and ends at 11:59pm AEDT on November 30, 2024 (“Promotion Period”).
2.    The Participant is the existing member who has participated in the ‘Refer a Friend’ Promotion by lodging a referral via the online webform, or with the assistance of our customer care team either via email or over the phone.
3.    To be eligible to receive a gift card, participants must refer a friend who subsequently joins an eligible Hospital Only or combined Hospital and Extras cover during the promotion period. 
4.    Referrals must be lodged by completing the webform, or with the assistance of our customer care team either via email or over the phone. 
5.    To be considered a successful referral, the following criteria must be met; 
     1.    the new member must have been referred to Astute Simplicity Health by an existing member as per condition 3;
     2.    The new member must take out an eligible Hospital Only cover or a combined Hospital and Extras cover with Astute Simplicity Health during the promotional period. 
     3.    The new member’s policy must remain financial (all premiums paid in advance) for a period of 60 days from the commencement date of the policy in order for the existing member to receive the gift card. 
6.    Eligible cover means any Hospital Only or combined Hospital and Extras cover available in your state of residence.
7.    The Promotion cannot be combined with any other offer available to the Participant. 
8.    Employees of the Promoter are not eligible for the Promotion, this includes adding a partner/spouse or dependant to an Employee’s cover.
9.    The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the valid membership of the new member (including a member’s identity, age and place of residence) and to exclude any new memberships that are not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights.
10.    If there is a dispute as to the identity of a new member, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to determine the identity of the new member.
11.    EFTPOS gift cards:
     1.    Referring members will receive one $50 EFTPOS Gift Card for each successful referral up to a maximum of five successful referrals per policy.
     2.    The Gift Card will be sent by registered post to the existing referring policyholder postal address recorded on their membership. 
     3.    The EFTPOS gift cards are not transferable or exchangeable. 
     4.    EFTPOS gift cards can be redeemed at participating stores and the use is subject to the EFTPOS Gift Card Terms and Conditions.
     5.    EFTPOS Gift Cards are valid for a period of 3 years from the date of activation
12.    The policyholder will be eligible to receive the gift card 75 days after the new referral commenced their eligible Astute Simplicity Health policy (please allow for delivery of the registered post notification by Australia Post). The policy must be financial after this date for the referrer to be eligible to receive their gift card.
13.    Failure to collect the registered post letter within 10 business days will result in the letter being returned to Astute Simplicity Health. The recipient will need to contact Astute Simplicity Health to arrange collection of the returned letter. 
14.    The promoter will not replace physical gift cards that are lost, stolen or expired.
15.    The Promoter, its contractors, employees and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered or sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), arising out of or in any way connected with the promotion and/or its prizes except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the receipt of the Gift Card. Independent financial advice should be sought.
16.    If the Gift Card remains unclaimed after one month the Promoter will attempt to contact the referring member. If the Gift Card remains unclaimed after three months, subject to any directions given by a regulatory authority, the unclaimed Gift Card will expire.
17.    Participation in this promotion shall be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.
18.    The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
19.    The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of the competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to members or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law (a) to exclude any new member; or (b) to modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
20.    The Promoter collects personal information to conduct the promotion and may, for this purpose, disclose such information to third parties, including but not limited to agents, contractors, service providers, prize suppliers and, as required, to Australian regulatory authorities. Membership is conditional on providing this information. All entries become the property of the Promoter.
