1. These terms and conditions apply to the Promotion which is “Join combined hospital and extras or hospital only cover and receive six weeks free and the waiver of the 2, 3 and 6 month waiting periods on extras cover.” 

2. The Promotion commences at 12:00am AEDT on 17/02/2024 and ends at 11:59pm AEDT on 30/04/2024 (“Promotion Period”).

3. The Promotion is Eligible members who join a combined hospital and extras or hospital only cover with a join effective date during the Promotion Period and pay the first months’ premium will receive the following six weeks free and the waiver of the 2, 3 and 6 month waiting periods on Extras cover. Extras waiting periods greater than 6 months still apply. All hospital waiting periods still apply.

4. Eligible member means:

a. A new Astute Simplicity Health member who: 

i. takes out an eligible Astute Simplicity Health hospital and extras cover or hospital only cover with a start date that falls during the Promotion Period;

ii. Pays their first months’ premium; and

iii. has not held Astute Simplicity Health cover in the previous 12 months (excluding a dependant coming off their parent’s policy)

iv. is an Australian Resident. 

5. The Promotion cannot be combined with any other offer. 

6. Employees of the Promoter are not eligible for the Promotion, this includes adding a partner/spouse or dependant to an employee’s cover. 

7. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify an individual’s eligibility for the promotion (including an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence) and to determine an individual or individuals is not eligible for the promotion in accordance with these terms and conditions. Errors and omissions may be accepted at the Promoter's discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 

8. The Promoter, its contractors, employees, and agents, shall not be liable for any claims, losses, damages, injuries, costs and expenses suffered or sustained or incurred (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), arising out of or in any way connected with the competition and/or its prizes except for liability that cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any tax implications that may arise from the prize winnings. Independent financial advice should be sought. 

9. Acceptance of the Promotional offer shall be deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions. 

10. The Promoter’s decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into. 

11. The Promoter assumes no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of the competition. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone, network or lines, computer on-line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or any website, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to members or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participation in or downloading any materials in this promotion. If this promotion is interfered with in any way or is not capable of being conducted as reasonably anticipated due to any reason beyond the reasonable control of the Promoter, the Promoter reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to the fullest extent permitted by law to (a) exclude any new member; or (b) modify, suspend, terminate or cancel the promotion, as appropriate.
