Astute Simplicity Health claiming options

Hospital claims and most in-patient medical claims will be sent directly to the underwriter St.LukesHealth by the provider.

Claims for extras benefits can be made by one of the following methods.

Mobile Claiming App

Submit claims quickly and easily on your Astute Simplicity Health mobile app by simply registering a few details, taking a photo of your receipt and pressing submit. Available on iPhone and Android by searching for ‘Simplicity Health’ in the iTunes Store or Google Play.

Point of service (HICAPS)

Astute Simplicity Health, through its underwriter, St.LukesHealth is a participant in the Health Industry Claims and Payments Service (HICAPS).

HICAPS is an electronic claiming process which offers members the convenience of automatic claims processing, on the spot at the point of service. Members with extras cover will be issued with an Astute Simplicity Health membership card which will provide access to the HICAPS network. HICAPS is currently available at participating dentists, optometrists, physiotherapists, podiatrists, chiropractors, clinical psychologists, occupational therapists, acupuncturists, remedial masseurs, dieticians and speech therapists.

Receive your benefit refund by direct credit

If you have already paid your provider for services being claimed, Astute Simplicity Health can offer you the convenience of having your benefit refund deposited directly into your nominated bank, building society or credit union account. To choose this method of benefit payment, download and complete a Benefit Deposit Request form and return it to Astute Simplicity Health either by email or post.
